Intducing myself and looking for support

I wont give you the lists of reasons why I am looking at a 7 lb gain in the last month.  Life has been very stressful but I am the reason I am facing my gain.  I don't deal well with stress and money probs, a disabled sonand the kids going back to school has really thrown me for a loop.  I am eating too much and feel that food demon taking over.  All I do is think about food.

Some reasons why I am to blame:

I have been horrible with my vitamins...only taking them when I remember
I have been grazing
I have been drinking with my meals
I am not focusing on protien
I am eating carbs and sugar
I am not exercising
I wake up and snack in the middle of the night (I have terrible insomnia)

Self sabotage(sp?).  Yes, that's me.

So what I am doing to turn things around:

Cleaned out the pantry of all sugary, carby processed foods
Set up a notebook to record all items entering my face
Take my vitamins
Walk at least 1 mile daily or go to the YMCA
Stop drinking while eating
Replace one meal with a low carb protien shake a day
Eat protien first
visit this board daily.

I have made my confessions and am now focused on my commitment to get back on track to lose this 7 pounds pluse the 30 more I have to go.

I need some of you to tell me your experience with slipping and getting back on track and how it is going for you.
Jill

Hi Jemma,
Were all here for you.  Post your daily foods on the Cafe/Cardio forum, it really helps to get your meals planned early.  Good luck and
Keep on BOTTing!

Jill ...looks like your off to a good start!

you can do this....do this for you!

That's what I tell my self....everyday is a struggle, for most of us...for me sometimes it seems so crazy...last night i was in walmart...at the check out...and my daughter wanted to buy some candy...i told her she could and began to look at what I might get for myself...trying to bargin on which was better for me or might be ok...can u believe that...I stopped what I was doing and realized my heart was beating harder...I was almost in a panic at wanting the " candy or chocolate" which ever it was...but for me at that moment  I realized how serious MY problem is.
In the book I am reading the author tells us to be aware of exactly what we are feeling, what is going on around us when these behaviors occur....I am glad I was able to recognize that I was hungry (at that time) but my body was not craving the chocolate so much as it needed food...sometimes this feeling comes on for me even when i am not hungry. I LOVE SWEETS... I am NOT perfect I mess up ...But I want to do better and coming here helps...talking helps.

I truly wish u the best...

Kim

Congrats for stopping and taking inventory on life and gain!! Awesome!!! You will re-lose the 7 and your 30.  Just Persevere, Be Patient, and be Positive.  My 3 P's.......!!!

Read my blogs for my journey to get back on track since March 2010 and post here on BOTT within the last 2 months about me and my ups and down and lows and highs.  It has been a journey for sure but I am just happy I have stopped gaining.  Losing slower than I expected but I will take it.
